DON CLEMENT
Don Clement grew up in Hettinger, North Dakota in a ranching-farming environment. Clement attended the University of North Dakota where he earned a master’s degree in accounting. Clement is a CPA who practiced public accounting for several years at a CPA firm in Minot, ND. Clement left public accounting to work with a real estate owner-broker, development company where Clement served as the CFO. After numerous years in real estate and development, Clement returned to public accounting to open his sole proprietorship practice. During this transition, he held a full-time teaching position in the Accounting Department at Minot State University.
In 1989, Mr. Clement seized an opportunity to merge his firm with Brady Martz, and Associates, PC, a regional accounting firm, by establishing and opening a branch office in Bismarck. There Mr. Clement developed an expertise in working with physicians to own and operate their physician-owned clinics. As managing partner of Brady Martz’s Bismarck office Clement expanded the office by negotiating and acquiring several Bismarck CPA firms and grew the staff to 50 plus employees.
After 18 years as managing partner of Brady Martz, Bismarck office, Clement took an early retirement to pursue other interests. Clement is co-founder and CFO of Creek Oil Field Services. Mr. Clement continued an interest in real estate by acquiring properties and development land in Bismarck and Minot.
Mr. Clement was a board member of the Tom & Francis Leach Foundation for 18 years; he served as Chairman of the Investment Committee. Clement was appointed and currently chairs the Arthur and Edith Pearson Foundation, focused on supporting rural education and agriculture in the Renville County area.
Mr. Clement continues to serve on the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation where he serves as a director and past Treasurer of the Foundation. Clement was founder and Chairman of the Harold Schafer Leadership Center at the University of Mary where he served on the Board of Trustees for years.
Clement’s interests continue to focus on financial reporting and forecasting, state political activities, the oil and gas service industry and real estate development.
Don and his wife, Patricia, reside in Bismarck, ND. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.
