Dennis J. Elbert
Mr. Elbert is the dean of the College of Business and Public Administration at the University of North Dakota. Dennis is a retired dean emeritus and professor of marketing for the College of Business and Public Administration (CoBPA) at the University of North Dakota (UND). He continues to be involved in university and community service, consulting, research, and seminar work. He served as chair of the 2017 GF/EGF United Way Campaign.
Mr. Elbert has served or is serving on several boards of directors including Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Dakota, Noridian Administrative Services, Altru Health Systems, YMCA, Newman Parish Council, GF Chamber of Commerce, US Bank Advisory Committee, Cirrus Industries, Northern Lights Executive Council BSA, Edgewood REIT, WPS – Military & Veterans Health Council, Sky Scopes, Beta Gamma Sigma and Gate City Bank.
Mr. Elbert has BSBA and MS degrees from UND, and a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri – Columbia. A veteran of Vietnam and Cambodia, Elbert is a UND ROTC graduate, retired from the US Army Reserve as a lieutenant colonel in 1996. He and his wife, Dora Lea, live in Grand Forks and have three children and five grandchildren.View all Trustees
